For the past 15 years SBH TESTING has carried out thousands of safety inspections and tests following the institution of engineering and technology code of practice which is now in its 5th edition.

 

There is no law that says you require pat testing although it is every employer and employee’s responsibility to ensure regular checks are carried out and all equipment is in safe working order for the environment it is situated.

 

SBH TESTING will carry out the following for any type of company large or small

 

VISUAL INSPECTION - making sure there no signs of damage, the equipment environment.

 

FUSE CHECK - the correct fuse is fitted, and cover is not missing

 

INSULATION TEST - to meet the correct and most current requirements

 

EARTH TEST – making sure earth is safe

 

Depending on the type of equipment testing does not have to be carried out annually although we would recommend all leads, adaptors. Chargers and extension leads are as this is where the most common failures occur.

 

Once the equipment has passed it will be labelled with an asset id number, initials of tester. Company name. contact number and the month tested. Pat labels only identify who tested and when they are not proof of testing

the pat test report is proof of testing.

 

SBH pat test reports are independently checked and consist of a detailed report where the asset number description and test results are shown along with the location of the equipment and date of testing.

we will also provide a completion certificate for your wall all presented in a folder along with engineers city and guilds 2377 certificates, a copy of buisiness insurance certificate, calibration certificate of tester used, and risk assesment.

 

Usually reports are provided within 7 days of testing.
